STELLAR Combination Dryer is based on the dual design concept of the tilting tray and fluidized bed dryer. It is designed to deliver the best qualities of both drying systems. It is the most versatile dryer in the industry suitable for efficient drying of Orthodox and CTC tea. STELLAR Combination Dryer has two perforated tray zones followed by a fluidized bed zone. It has an aerodynamically designed plenum chamber with precise controlled air velocity at all points. Double cladded insulation provides improved thermal efficiency. The dust extraction and cyclone system completely eliminate fibre and fluff from the tea. The specially perfoarated grid plate and tray configuration ensure denser, blacker and bloomer teas. The fermented leaf is fed to the dryer via a feed conveyor fitted with a mechanical spreader, which acts as feed distributor. The bulk leaf particles are uniformly dried by the combined action of the hot air forced through the grid plate and the tilting action of the trays. The drying is completed in three stages over three temperature zones at controlled rate and the uniformly fired tea is discharged from the drier. The higher output due the fluidized bed zone results in improved fuel efficiency. The combination drying ensures gradual moisture removal and eliminates case hardening.
* Enhanced output and quality. The combination dryer can deliver an output ranging from 300 kgs to 600 kgs par hour of made tea. The dried tea is free of fibre and fluff with enhanced colour and bloom.
* Superior MOC. All contacts parts such as trays, Grid plate, Chutes, Guards and dust collection system are made from Stainless steel to enhance durability. The tray carrying chaines are made from hardened alloy steel to improve load bearing capacity and reduce elongation.
* Modular Construction – Wide range from 4 to 8 modules enables customization for each customer. Aerodynamically designed plenum chamber with multiple guide vanes ensure proper air distribution and better fluidization.
* Automated Control System – The Dryer panel allows the operator to have precise control over the dryer speed and timing, which can be varied based on input parameters. The panel is provided with AC drives from invertek, UK. PLC panel option is also available for operator free operation. Chain tensioner Sensor system (optional) detects any slackness in the chain and alerts the operator, thereby eliminating jamming of trays.
