At Lalan Rubbers, we use sustainably farmed biomass to meet 100% of our facilities heating energy requirements. The switch from fossil fuels to biomass has significantly reduced our carbon footprint; Lalan Rubbers have put a stop to using more than 24 million liters of fossil fuels annually.

Luxury on the shores of the Indian Ocean A two-tower behemoth, ITC Colombo will have a hotel tower of 29 floors with 371 rooms and a residential tower of 49 floors and 143 high-end residential units bordering the Indian Ocean and a lake on either side. A 54 m sky bridge will link the two towers that is all set to redefine the Colombo skyline. Lalan Engineering (Pvt) Ltd has been awarded with the Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Boilers, Steam Accessories, Tanks, Utility Piping, Electrical, Water Treatment Plant and Chimney.  The Boilers are Patented Products from our Associate, Thermax Limited with the highest efficiency of 94%.

We have recently commissioned the largest Thermic Fluid Heater in Sri Lanka. The Thermic Fluid Heater is supplied by our Associate, Thermax Limited, to Lalan Rubbers (Pvt) Ltd, for the Green Field Project in Katunayake Export Processing Zone.  The Design Capacity of the Units is 16 Mn Kcal/hr with State-of-the-Art Reciprocating Technology from Lambion GmBH Germany and the system is equipped with an Electrostatic Precipitator, given the location of the factory being next to Bandaranayake International Airport and thus maintaining micro-environmental air quality were explored, and the implications on mitigating near-source air pollution are extremely critical and significant for this facility. Local Installation of the Units and Balance of Plant for the fully automated system has been installed and commissioned by Lalan Engineering (Pvt) Ltd.
